Two special elections were held for the Missouri State Legislature in 2013. These elections were called to fill vacancies in Missouri House of Representatives District 76 and 157.

How vacancies are filled

If there is a vacancy in the Missouri General Assembly, the governor of Missouri must call for a special election without delay. The election mandate is sent to the county or counties in the legislative district.[1]

Note: According to Gov. Mike Kehoe's communications director, special elections for vacant seats in the Missouri House of Representatives will not be called in 2026, and the seats will be filled in the general election cycle.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many
