I grew up in Milwaukee until 17 years ago when my wife and I happend upon the perfect situation in the town of Columbus Wisconsin. I can now never imagine living back in a large city. I am a proud husband, father of three wonderful children, and a current IBEW member.
  • Creating an economy that works for the middle class.
  • Helping Wisconsin build the infrastructure of the 21st century.
  • Make sure that there is equity our school system
I am passionate about Wisconsins infrastructure, both traditional (roads, bridges, etc.) and modern (broadband, green energy, etc.). I am also passionate about generating equity within our school system and strongly believe that if you take public money and give it to private schools, those private schools need to show their test scores. Finally I am passionate about moving our economy back to the demand side of things rather than the supply side. Currently the economy in place is shrinking our middle class by an exponential rate and the tax burden on them is enormous. I want to life the burden off of middle class Wisconsinites so that we can provide more economic mobility within the state.
Elected officials should be willing to do their own research and come to their own conclusions. I also believe that humility in admitting when you are wrong is a strong characteristic for an elected official.
I am good with people, systematic problem solver, and resourceful.
Look out for everyone in the district and find solutions that work for all of the people living in the district.
I want to leave the world a little bit of a better place for my children and potentially my grandchildren.
The first historical event I can remember was when I was 12 years old in my sixth grade class, our teacher was showing us the live footage of the Challenger launching and the eventually exploding. I can remember my teacher hastily ushering the tv away and begin to teach as if nothing had happend.
My first ever job was working at Pizza Hut in Milwaukee. I worked there for around two years.
I believe that it should be a collaborative effort. They both set the agenda and then work together to pass quality legislation.
I believe that rebuilding our traditional infrastructure and our 21st century infrastructure will be Wisconsins greatest challenge.
Yes because building relationships leads to more bipartisan agreements and you begin to work with your other legislators better.
We should follow Iowa's model in redistricting. I strongly believe that it's hard to gerrymander a square.
I believe that compromise is a necessary part of effective policymaking and I always strive to compromise in my everyday life. However, in office I will never compromise on our Democracy.
