Renee Gasch is a community organizer and environmentalist in De Pere, Wisconsin running as a Democrat for State Assembly. She serves on the De Pere Sustainability Commission where she works to increase pollinator habitat and reduce pollution in the area. She has also served on the De Pere Public Art Commission and Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers' Student Debt Task Force. Renee grew up in a nearby rural community the child of a public school teacher and a school lunch lady. She learned the value of hard work in 4-H, FFA, and her first job milking cows on her neighbor’s dairy farm. A lifelong learner, Renee studied journalism at UW-Madison and has a graduate degree. She runs a small freelance business writing for documentary filmmakers and works in sustainable agriculture education. Renee is running for Assembly to bring grassroots, community-focused change to the Wisconsin State Legislature.
  • Economic justice for everyone. Wisconsin needs to strengthen protections for consumers and workers so families can get ahead.
  • Fully funded public schools and affordable care services. Our communities will thrive when we invest in public education and care services, including healthcare, childcare and elder care.
  • Sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. Wisconsin should invest in farmers and green businesses to generate clean, locally sourced energy to power the region.
I am running for Assembly to bring grassroots, community-focused change to the Wisconsin State Legislature. My priorities for Wisconsin are the priorities I have discussed often with my neighbors often on the doorsteps of our community. These include:

• Economic justice for everyone
• Safe, fully funded public schools
• Accessible healthcare, childcare, and elder care
• Public safety and criminal justice reform
• Sustainable agriculture, clean water and renewable energy

My campaign is guided by the core value of civic engagement. I believe getting out of our houses and talking to voters in the community is the foundation of a healthy democracy. I am looking forward to knocking on doors and asking my neighbors how they’re doing and how they want to see our state grow. Through these conversations, I hope to earn the votes of my neighbors as their new representative in Assembly District 2.
