Stephen J. Hillman was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was appointed to this position on July 16, 1992, and he retired from the court on April 10, 2015.[1][2]

Education

Judge Hillman received his B.A. degree from the University of California in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington Law School in 1975.[1]

Career

From 1984 to 1986, Judge Hillman worked as the Chief Deputy Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California. He then worked as a private practice lawyer until his appointment to the district court in 1992.[1]
