Walter Rothschild
Walter J. "Wally" Rothschild was a judge on the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, Division F. His term expired on December 31, 2012.[1] After his retirement, Rothschild served as a judge pro tempore for the Division D court of the 24th Judicial District until the election of Scott Schlegel to the court in May 2013.[2][3]
Education
Rothschild earned a B.A. from the University of New Orleans, going on to receive his J.D. from Loyola University - New Orleans. He was admitted to the bar in 1973.[4]
Career
Before joining the court, Rothschild was a judge for the 24th Judicial District from 1995 until his election to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal in 2001. He has also served the Gretna, Louisiana, area as a lawyer in private practice.[5]
