Eric Jones (Democratic Party) ran in a special election to the Louisiana House of Representatives to represent District 100. Jones will not appear on the ballot for the special primary on February 7, 2026.

Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote.
