About the Candidate: Michael Barton is a police detective and veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Houston - Downtown and an M.A. degree in National Security from the Naval War College. His public service includes working on the staff of the U.S. Senate, White House, and Pentagon. Michael also served on the board for the Houston Infragard and is an arbiter for FINRA, where he hears cases relating to disputes in the financial markets. He lives in Sugar Land with his wife and two children.
