2016

Lundgren's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[7]

Education

I firmly believe that a solid education is the building block of tomorrows leaders. Finding fresh and innovative ways our children to learn, supporting our teachers and offering guidance to administrators with open lines of communication will be key in successful district development.

Public safety

When we call 911, we expect a rapid response. It could be a matter of life or death. We need to take a hard look monetary allocations to ensure that our Police, Sheriff and Fire Departments have what they need to keep us safe and out of harms way.

Veterans affairs

When our military personal are still wearing their uniforms, we consider them heroes. But how quickly forget the sacrifices that they gave to protect our freedom once they hang up that uniform.

Taxes

We can not live beyond our means and neither should our government. If we didn't balance our household budgets and overspent each month, there is a good chance we could loose our family homes, farms and businesses.[8]

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Iowa

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states.  To contribute to the list of Iowa scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
