I am the child of immigrant refugee parents, and my mother brought me to Glendora in search of a better life. I attended Glendora schools and have since raised my own children in the community I love. With 19 years of experience as a top-producing title sales manager at Fidelity National Title, I have developed a sharp eye for the bigger picture and what benefits our community. I also graduated with honors from Azusa Pacific University, further strengthening my commitment to personal growth and service.
  • Community-Focused Leadership: As a lifelong resident of the area and a parent raising my children here, I am deeply committed to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in our community. My goal is to create a safer, more prosperous environment for all families.
  • As someone with a long-standing career in real estate, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that many face in achieving the dream of homeownership. That’s why I’m committed to creating community programs that educate and advocate for sustainable homeownership—especially for first-time buyers. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to own a home and build a strong foundation for their families. My goal is to ensure that our community has the resources and support needed to make homeownership a reality for all.
  • Commitment to Education and Opportunity: As a first-generation American who graduated with honors from Azusa Pacific University, I know firsthand the importance of education and opportunity. I am dedicated to advocating for quality education and programs that help our children and future generations succeed. It is important to show appreciation for those that are making it happen.
We are passionate about public policies that strengthen education, support small businesses, promote sustainable homeownership, and enhance community safety and well-being.
I look up to my mom more than anyone. She came to this country as a refugee from Vietnam, not speaking a word of English, and worked tirelessly to give our family a better life. Despite the challenges, she managed to purchase properties and became the hardest working woman I know. She should be enjoying retirement now, but she still finds joy in working while always remembering the value of a dollar because she’s a true saver at heart. Her perseverance and strength continue to inspire me every day.
The most important characteristics for an elected official are a commitment to serving with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility to the community. Being available to listen and address the concerns of residents is essential, as well as building strong, collaborative relationships with the city council and other stakeholders within the district to ensure effective governance and positive outcomes for everyone.
The core responsibility for someone elected to this office is to serve the public by being a strong advocate for the community’s interests and needs. This means actively listening to constituents, promoting policies that benefit the community, and ensuring that decisions are made with transparency, integrity, and the well-being of all residents in mind.
The office of Mike Morrell, Current Mayor of Glendora Mendell Thompson.
I believe financial transparency and government accountability are non-negotiable principles that build trust with the community. I am committed to working with integrity, ensuring that public funds are managed responsibly, and that every decision is made openly and transparently. Our community deserves honest leadership that prioritizes accountability and upholds the highest ethical standards.
