Tami Zawistowski
Tami Zawistowski (Republican Party) is a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 61. She assumed office on April 16, 2014. Her current term ends on January 6, 2027.
Zawistowski (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 61. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Representative Zawistowski started Resource Books, LLC, a small business, in 1996. Additionally, she has worked as the Assistant Director of the UConn School of Business Center for Real Estate and Econ. Studies and as the Executive Vice President of Northeast Savings, F.A., Hartford. She has served on the East Granby Board of Finance, the East Granby Economic Development Commission, and the East Granby Chamber of Commerce, among other positions.
Representative Zawistowski was first elected to represent the 61st General Assembly District in a special election in 2014. District 61 is made up of Suffield, East Granby, and Windsor. She was re-elected in 2018. She has served on the Appropriations and Transportation committees, and was selected to be Ranking Member of the Planning & Development committee.[1]

Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Joe Doering was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Tami Zawistowski was unopposed in the Republican primary. Zawistowski defeated Doering in the general election.[4][5]
