Linda Orange
Linda Orange is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 48 from 1997 to 2019. She passed away due to complications from pancreatic cancer on November 20, 2019.[1]
Biography
Orange's professional experience included working as a justice of the peace, legislative assistant to the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1991 to 1995, and clerk of the Public Health Committee in 1993.
She was a member of the Colchester Democratic Town Committee, Backus Hospital Board of Corporators, Colchester Democratic Women's Club, and the East Haddam Historical Society, an honorary member of the Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Department, and an associate member of the Connecticut National Guard.[2]

2014
Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent Linda A. Orange defeated Jason Paul in the Democratic primary and defeated Evan Evans (R), who filed to run after the primary, in the general election.[5][6][7]

On November 4, 2008, Orange won re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 48th District. Orange ran unopposed in the general election, receiving 9,238 votes.
