David Kroll was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 90 of the Michigan House of Representatives.[1]

Campaign themes

2014

Kroll's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]

Health Care

  • Excerpt: "Propose a bill to opt out of the Affordable Care Act. Michigan should use the 10th Amendment (State Sovereignty) to protect its citizens against Obamacare. In 2013 I signed a petition to stop Medicaid Expansion. I will advocate repealing Obamacare in Michigan."

Life

  • Excerpt: "Propose a bill that would recognize the personhood of a fetus. I have already signed a petition to recognize the fetus as a human being to end abortion, and a petition to stop gender/race selective abortions. I also voted against expanding Embryonic Stem Cell research in 2008 and will continue to advocate for life."

Taxes

  • Excerpt: "I will work to ensure that gas taxes are used for road repair, instead of being siphoned off to special interests."

Elections

  • Excerpt: "Reduce voter fraud. I am in favor of photo identification in order to vote. Also, an on-site nursing homes voter progam should be enacted to reduce absentee voter fraud and allow our seniors to vote as they see fit."

Education

  • Excerpt: "We need to work to get schools out of debt and empower local school boards to have a greater say in their curriculum. I do not believe Common Core will improve our State or nation. I want to promote more Michigan residents to attend in-state universities."
