I am a retired Navy submarine officer and proud father of five. I'm running for state representative to provide positive leadership for our district and help shape our post-COVID future.

If there is anything this year has taught us, it's that leadership matters in times of crisis. From pandemics to power outages, we've been through a lot, but with the right leadership we will come out a better state and a better country.

My vision for our community has a thriving economy that works for everyone and an equitable society that celebrates our differences. I will hold people and businesses accountable for their decisions and be a powerful advocate for progress in Ledyard, Preston, and Montville.

November 3, 2020 is going to be an important day in the history of our nation, and I intend to be on the right side of that history.
  • Getting people back to work-safely-is my number one priority. I support enhanced unemployment benefits and eviction/foreclosure protection for those who can't return to work.
  • I will listen to and be an advocate for everyone in the community.
  • The values that I learned in the Navy are the same ones I will take to Hartford: accountability, integrity, and hard work.
I am most passionate about reviving our economy and making sure that it works for everyone.

The hard working people of southeastern Connecticut deserve fair wages, access to healthcare and retirement benefits, and safe childcare options. We also need to develop and support local entrepreneurs who will become the next generation of employers in our state.

By supporting our best-in-class workforce development investment boards and backing small businesses financing, I think we can create an environment where entrepreneurship thrives and hard work is rewarded.
I believe that government officials at all levels must have a deep sense of service and humility. Elections are inherently adversarial and promote division, but once elected a representative needs to be able to put all that aside in order to represent the entire district. One of the things I'm prioritizing in my campaign is meeting with as many voters as possible and joining groups whit a wide range of viewpoints.
The core values that I learned in the Navy are also the values I will bring to Hartford: integrity, accountability, and hard work.
My very first job was delivering newspapers in my hometown. I was 13 years old, and I remember being so happy to be able to have my own money and very quickly learned the value of a dollar! I only had that job until I turned 16, but in those few short years I learned a lot of important life lessons: hard work, managing a budget, and how to run a small business.
The entire Hamilton soundtrack! My family and I sometimes try to have entire conversations that use lines from the musical.
Even though Connecticut legislative districts are relatively small, the district I'm running in covers three towns and overlaps with two State Senators. Two of the towns are also partially represented by three other representatives. This means that collaboration is inevitable, and all of our current incumbents have been tremendously helpful in getting my campaign up and running.

I've always worked on building good rapport with my colleagues and look forward to doing the same in the Connecticut General Assembly. This includes members of other caucuses, even though we will not likely agree on specific policy issues. I feel that it is important to listen to opinions of others in order to have a well-founded opinion and to accurately represent the district.
