Germantown and the 24th AD are my home. I have lived here my entire 30 years, graduating from MacArthur Elementary, Kennedy Middle School, and Germantown High School. Following four years and a degree from Whitewater, I returned home.
Now, I serve as the Executive Director of Our Wisconsin Revolution after previously serving as the Policy Research Director and Lead Training Organizer. With media experience from hosting a state-wide radio show, and national experience as an elected delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, I bring youth, energy, and fresh ideas to a district in need of innovation
The job of an elected official is to represent the goals, dreams, and desires of their constituents and their district, not themselves. You are my boss, you will drive this campaign forward.
Working and grassroots organizing with the incredible people of the 24th over the past 6 years has cemented my belief in the importance of community and dedication to one another. These foundational pillars uplift both the individual and society as a whole. Our collective strength will always be greater than our individual abilities. Solidarity is not just a noun or slogan, it's a way of life. It's behavior in action.- I believe it’s imperative for young people to have a seat at the table while expecting public policy to serve the needs of the many rather than the will of the few, something that can only be accomplished through unapologetically progressive legislation. In the tradition of the Wisconsin Idea, in a state rich with progressive history, I hope to help drive Wisconsin “Forward” once again. To reshape our future, we must reclaim our past. The values and ideas that made Wisconsin a national leader in “Forward” thinking policy must be modernized and implemented today, planting the seeds for a happy, healthy, thriving tomorrow.
- Public dollars should stay in public schools, not private institutions. Public schools are the cornerstones of communities. We must ensure quality education for ALL Wisconsin students, and guarantee an environment that allows each unique individual to excel and to reach their full potential. Funding cannot simply be "adequate", it must be paramount. A budget represents priorities, resources are distributed to that which is deemed most important. Education, as the building block of society, must be at the top.
- A healthy environment is a prerequisite for a sustainable future. Clean water and clean air are fundamental building blocks of a healthy society. Polluters must be punished, both financially and legally, to protect Wisconsin from those who disregard environmental standards. We must adequately fund the DNR and legislate independence of their scientists from partisan control. Taking initiative on decarbonization efforts with the goal of net-zero emissions by 2040 would allow Wisconsin to once again lead the nation "Forward". Increasing funding towards PFAS prevention and combating already impacted areas is required immediately. Independence from fossil fuels by 2040 is possible if we Champion clean, renewable energy TODAY.
Americans are sick and tired of the constant manipulation. I believe elected officials should, first and foremost, be real. Part of being real is being truthful with your viewpoints, part of it is being honest with yourself. Politicians should not be celebrities, they should not be a "brand", they should not be a persona. They are a public servant, a representative of the community that has placed faith in them. No fabricated characters, no hiding behind a mask.
