Today I am announcing my intention to run for the Libertarian nomination to Michigan's 92nd House of Representatives seat. Having lived in Mid-Michigan most of my life, I believe I can represent the residents of this area. Over the years I have been associated with The Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, I have hosted exchange students from (Japan, Republic of Georgia, and Russia) as well have been a business owner in Mt. Pleasant. I look forward to working for all the residents of Isabella and Gratiot County
Bring accountability to government. This country was founded on the idea of a government for the people by the people. We have to many career politicians who have lost touch with the areas they represent.
My parents. My father was a Division manager for one of the oil companies in Mt Pleasant. He worked long hours to make sure we were provided for and he still found time mentor me as well as take care of my disabled mother

Representing the will of the people. Keep an open door and stay in touch with the community that you serve
Having served my community
Bicycle mechanic at Motorless Motion in Mt Pleasant Michigan
Slanted Sharyl Attkisson this book describes how all media is slanted to whatever narrative the publisher wants. And how most news that you see is more opinion than facts
Sam Becket from Quantum Leap to put right what once went wrong
Balancing time between work and family
Currently there is a very adversarial relationship in government and in the end the people loose. The ideal relationship between Governor and State Legislature is one the has the interest of of people first. Voting only on party lines might make the look good to the party. But they are elected to serve the people
Restrictions and mandates of businesses have hurt Michigan. If these trends continue more companies will leave
A bicameral system provides for checks and balances and to help prevent abuse of power by any one party
Honestly I think one of the biggest problems we have in government is career politicians who have lost touch with the people they serve
Of course it is beneficial to build relationships with other legislators. Everyone has different backgrounds and point of views. By working together more can get accomplished
The is no easy one size fits all way to redistrict. No matter how it is done either political parties or the people living in the districts will feel it is not right. The current idea of redirecting by independent committees every 10 years is a good idea I think the next time they work on redirecting after the 2030 census will go smoother and they will learn from the problems they had this time
Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation I enjoy all of Michigans Natural Resources and State Parks. And as a hunter I would like to protect Michigans hunting lands

Regulatory Reform over the years several businesses have failed due to burdensome regulations.
2020 saw many restrictions and mandates imposed of business many of those closed for good. A friend of mine lost his restaurant due to Governor ordered mandates
State legislature should oversee the use of emergency powers to prevent abuse and government overreach
Compromise is necessary. Negotiations cannot be one sided only every community has different needs that must be taken into account when any policy is made
