James Benefield
James "Jimmy" Benefield was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 4 of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
Benefield is a contractor with Military Professional Resources Inc. He earned an A.A.B. from Excelsior College.

Benefield ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 4. He defeated Alan Miller and Terri Stanford in the primary on August 2, 2011.[1] He lost to Democrat Jody Steverson in the general election on November 8, 2011.

Benefield was endorsed by the Mississippi Tea Party. The 4th is one of 10 districts the Tea Party’s Move the House Committee specifically targeted as necessary to win in order to gain conservative control of the House.[2]
