|- I support moving to solar energy to make Florida energy self sufficient. As the sunshine state, we have an opportunity to be a leader in solar energy. It is financially esponsible as the cost now pays for itself within a few years. Additionally, we should be providing skilled training and incentives to make solar energy production a top industry for the state.
- I will work to fix the unemployment system issues. The pandemic has exposed the flaws in our unemployment system and these issues need to be addressed. Whether it be a pandemic, a hurricane, a recession, whatever causing a spike in unemployment, we need to have systems in place that actually works.
- I will support and fight for home rule. The state needs to stop putting restrictions on what localities can and cannot do. The state should not be responsible for deciding if the city of Port Richey should be abolished. Legislators from north Florida shouldn't have a say in the local government of Key West banning certain types of sunscreen. Someone from The Villages shouldn't tell a condo owner in Miami Beach that they can't rent their condo for a week. Localities should be deciding local issues and it's time the state legislators stop making those decisions for them.
