The New Democrat Coalition (NDC) is a congressional caucus that describes itself as a group of "forward-thinking Democrats who are committed to pro-economic growth, pro-innovation, and fiscally responsible policies."[1]
Background
The New Democrat Coalition was founded in 1997 by Reps. Cal Dooley, Jim Moran, and Timothy J. Roemer as an affiliate of the centrist Democratic Leadership Council.[2]
