Ronald C. Griffin

Ronald C. Griffin is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas. He was appointed to the court on August 13, 2018.[1]

Education

Griffin obtained a B.A. from Texas Tech University in 1996 and a J.D. from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1999.[2]

Military service

Griffin served in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1993.[2]

Career

Before joining the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas as a federal magistrate judge in 2018, Griffin practiced law in the Ector County Hospital District from 2014 to 2018. He was an attorney with the law firm of Shafer, Davis, O'Leary & Stoker from 2001 to 2014. Griffin served as a law clerk to Judge Stuart Platt who was then a U.S. magistrate judge in the Western District of Texas from 1999 to 2001.[2]
