Diana Saldana is an Article III federal judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She was nominated by President Barack Obama in January 2011 and confirmed by the United States Senate on February 7, 2011.[1]

Saldana received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in 1994 and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1997.[1]

Saldana was nominated to the court by President Barack Obama on July 14, 2010. Her hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee was on September 29, 2010 and you can find her hearing transcript here. The nomination was returned the President at the end of the 111th Congress on December 22, 2010.[2]
Saldana's nomination was resubmitted by the President on January 5, 2011. She was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 7, 2011 and received commission on February 9, 2011.[1]
