Richard Suarez was a judge of the Florida 3rd District Court of Appeal. He assumed office in 2004. He left office on January 7, 2019.

He was appointed to the court by Governor Jeb Bush.[1] Suarez served as chief judge of the court from 2015 to 2017.

Education

Suarez earned both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the University of Miami. He received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.[1]

Career

After law school, Suarez joined and became a shareholder in the law firm of Corlett, Killian, P.A. In 1991, he became a member of the law firm of Hardeman & Suarez, P.A. Governor Jeb Bush appointed Suarez to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court bench in 2002, and then to the Third District Court of Appeal in 2004.[1]

Richard Suarez did not file to run for re-election.

2012

Suarez was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 with 77.1% of the vote.[2][3][4]
