Campaign themes

2014

Kale's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]

Medicaid Expansion

  • Excerpt: "I have been very clear from the beginning. Obamacare and the resultant Medicaid Expansion is not the answer for our healthcare issues. To “blow up” a system for less than 10% of the population makes nonsense. I will work to transition these people to a private health care system. It is a job killer!"

RTW

  • Excerpt: "Very Simple. I have been supportive of this since it became a political issue. I have been very public about my position supporting RTW and being against Prevailing Wage. 100% rating from Right to Work-Michigan."

2nd Amendment Rights

  • Excerpt: "I am ENDORSED by NRA with their highest AQ rating, have an ‘A’ rating from Michigan Coalition of Responsible Gun Owners, am a member of the local Calhoun County Gun Owners Association and as Board Chair worked on issues within the county to reinforce our second amendment rights."

Right To Life

  • Excerpt: " Endorsed by RTL-MI for everyone of my four elections."

Roads

  • Excerpt: "Our roads have been ignored for way too long! We have too initiate the same leading edge and creative approach at the State level that we have at the County level to address our road issues."
