Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[2] Incumbent Oscar Denton defeated Chris Green and Arrick R. Rice in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election. Denton ran unchallenged in the District 55 general election.

Green ran in the special election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 55. The seat was vacant following George Flaggs, Jr.'s (D) election as Mayor of Vicksburg. Green was defeated by Oscar Denton in the special election, which took place on November 5, 2013.[3][1][4][5]
