Elizabeth Lang-Miers
Elizabeth Lang-Miers (Republican Party) was a judge for Place 13 of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. She left office on December 31, 2018.
Lang-Miers (Republican Party) ran for re-election for the Place 13 judge of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. She lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Education
Justice Lang-Miers earned a bachelor's degree in 1972 and a law degree in 1975 from the University of Missouri-Columbia.[1]
Career
After graduating from law school, Justice Lang-Miers clerked for the Missouri Supreme Court then entered private practice in Dallas with the firm Locke Lorde Bissel & Liddell. There she practiced commercial litigation and employment law for 28 years until her 2003 appointment to the Fifth District by Gov. Rick Perry.[1]
