Biography
Ladd Johnson earned a high school diploma from Jordan High School, a law degree from BYU in 2001, and a graduate degree from BYU in 2001. His career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

|- Seeking Unity. We need to find ways to unify our citizens instead of deepening the divide along party lines. The divisiveness caused by our two major political parties is the biggest crisis we face because it touches all of the other political issues of the day and makes them worse. There are difficult and complex problems to tackle in our country and our state, but these conversations are not taking place because the political environment is so toxic. As an elected official I will work hard for government reforms that help citizens be more involved and help make the political environment less heated including: voting reform (ranked choice voting and approval voting), term limits and campaign finance transparency. We should also NOT ma
- Cost of Living and Educational Opportunities. In Utah we are being hit with record inflation coupled with skyrocketing house and apartment prices and skyrocketing medical costs. The State legislature can enact policies to help alleviate housing costs and medical costs to start to chip away at these problems and I would look for every opportunity to do that. We also need to find ways to give opportunities to more of our youth to attend college, trade school or get technical training so they can obtain higher paying jobs.
- Utah’s Outdoor lifestyle. The current drought is a huge problem that must be addressed more aggressively. The disappearance of the Great Salt Lake would have terrible economic impacts on the State. We also need to better manage the bad air quality in the cities and consider how to best utilize our canyons and other wonderful outdoor features in Utah so we can all continue to enjoy them and preserve them for the next generation.
