California must balance restoring and protecting people's rights and liberties with the legislative desires.
There are benefits to having new people in politics with new ideas. The biggest fear one must have is the bureaucracy that works for the legislatures and the executive branch. The people who are bureaucrats could diminish the power of the executive and legislature by apathy.
The use of emergency powers borders on a grievous overreach of the executive branch. The role of the legislature should be included as an oversight with the use of emergency powers. The legislature should create the rules for things like Covid-19 protocol in accordance with the desires of the people. The executive branch should not be able to restrict the civil rights and liberties of Californians.
