Campaign themes
2012
Bynum has stated the following as his issue positions:[3]
Spending: "Get a better handle on state spending, including overpayment for state services and unneeded items or projects that do not benefit the people of North Carolina."
Tourism: "Promote our lakes and towns to Invite vacationers and visitors to our state this will bring in revenue from surrounding states and will help to get our economy going again."
Term limits: "Demand term limits on all elected officials in state government, this will eliminate the stagnant thinking and law making that we have experienced for so long."
Marriage: "I Believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, this is a holly institution set forth in the bible and not by man, therefore it should be followed as such. The benefits from such a union can only be received between a man and a woman, benefits such as the miracle of child berth to cary on the family line and the natural cohesion that occurs in a traditional family structure. As marriage is a biblical institution between a man and a woman it should be handled by churches and not by the state. The following reasons are why I voted for the marriage amendment."[sic]
