Irene Alarcon Rios
Irene Alarcon Rios (Democratic Party) is a judge for Place 6 of the Texas Fourth District Court of Appeals. She assumed office on January 1, 2017. Her current term ends on December 31, 2028.
Rios (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Place 6 judge of the Texas Fourth District Court of Appeals. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Rios previously served as a judge for the Bexar County Court at Law (No. 10) in Texas. She had to step down in 2013 in order to run for election to the Fourth District Court of Appeals in 2014.[1]

Rios received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and her J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law.[2]

Rios announced her intention to challenge incumbent Justice Jason Pulliam (R) for his seat on the Fourth District Court of Appeals. She registered as a Democrat in the 2016 election.[3] She was unopposed in the March 1 primary and faced incumbent Justice Jason Pulliam in the November general election.
