Wayne Arthur Rosenthal is the current Illinois Director of Natural Resources. He was appointed to the position by Gov. Bruce Rauner (R) on January 14, 2015.[2][3]

Before heading the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Rosenthal was a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing District 95 from January 2011 to January 2015.

Biography

Rosenthal earned his B.A. in mathematics from the University of Illinois-Springfield (formerly Sangamon State University). His professional experience includes owning and operating a family farm. He served as a Brigadier General in the Illinois Air National Guard.[4]
