Brent Groce was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 2 of the North Carolina House of Representatives.

Biography

Groce earned his bachelor's degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and his J.D. from Campbell University’s Law School. His professional experience includes working as a lawyer.[1]

On Groce's campaign website he said his legislative priorities will include "encouraging innovation for our rural economy, building on our strong community college and public school systems, and expanding opportunities for all residents of the 2nd District."[2]

Elections for the North Carolina House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 28, 2014. Larry Yarborough defeated Sandra Hendrick Berry and Jon Gregory Bass in the Republican primary, while Ray Jeffers defeated Brent Groce and Dalton Huff in the Democratic primary. Yarborough defeated Jeffers in the general election.[3][4]
