Biography
Johnston's professional experience includes serving as a major in the United States Marine Corps and as a Senior Marine Instructor at Portage High School's Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Charles "Chuck" Moseley was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while John W. Johnston was unopposed in the Republican primary. Moseley defeated Johnston in the general election.[2][3]
