Ryan lives, works, and is a community leader in the 87th District. He is an Indiana State University alum, where he majored in Business. While at Indiana State, Ryan was elected Student Government Vice-President and selected as Greek Man of the Year. Ryan currently works as a recruiter at the largest Women Owned Business in Indianapolis, where he helps Hoosiers find jobs that in turn help others that are in need in their local communities. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He is also a Freemason, and likes to spend time attending and volunteering at local community events.
  • The Hoosier Dream- You will be able to live freely, raise and care for your family, make an honest wage, be protected from big government, and continue to pay low taxes.

I have always looked up to President Teddy Roosevelt. His indomitable spirit, gregarious personality, leadership style, ability to connect with people, and efforts in the name of natural conservation have always served as a great example for me to follow.
Honesty, Empathy, Courage, Strength, Resolve, Communicative, Open Minded
The legacy that I would like to leave is one of quality stewardship for the State of Indiana. My hope is to be remembered as someone that made life and Indiana better for all and for the generations of Hoosiers that will come after us.
The first historical event that sticks out in my mind is the election of Bill Clinton in 1992. I was five years old at the time and still remember the debates between Bush, Clinton, and Perot.
My first job is one that will always look back on fondly. I was a summer help employee at Lincoln Trail State Park for three consecutive years while in high school and college. This role allowed me to interact with the public, while providing services to taxpayers and outdoor enthusiasts of all backgrounds and walks of life.
I do believe that it is beneficial for legislators to have previous experience in government or politics, but a lack of experience should not serve as a barrier for an individual to run for office or serve the residents in their district. We must continue to elect the best leaders to run our state, no matter what their previous experience in or with government has been.
As a legislator it is imperative to develop relationships with colleagues on both sides of the aisle. We need legislators that are willing to work together to craft and create common sense legislation that works for all Hoosiers.
