Smith ran in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 85. Smith ran unopposed in the May 8 Democratic primary and was defeated by incumbent Phyllis J. Pond (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
2010
Smith lost to Republican candidate Bob Morris by a margin of 12,420 to 5,865.[4] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
In the May 4th primary, Smith ran unopposed.[5]
