Yvonne Rodriguez
Yvonne Rodriguez (Democratic Party) was a judge for Chief Justice of the Texas Eighth District Court of Appeals. She assumed office on January 1, 2021. She left office in 2023.
Rodriguez (Democratic Party) ran for election for the Chief Justice judge of the Texas Eighth District Court of Appeals. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Rodriguez was elected as chief justice of the Texas Eighth District Court of Appeals in 2020. She was first elected to the court in 2012. She previously represented Place 2 on the court from 2013 to 2021.
Before her judicial election to the Eighth District Court of Appeals, Rodriguez was a judge for the El Paso County Probate Court No. 1 in El Paso County, Texas.

Rodriguez ran for the Texas Eighth District Court of Appeals. She competed in the Democratic primary on May 29, receiving 38.06% of the vote. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, she and Marcos Lizarraga competed in the runoff on July 31, 2012.[1] Rodriguez won the runoff, receiving 56.92% of the vote. She defeated incumbent Christopher Antcliff in the November 6, 2012 general election with 62.4% of the vote.[2][3][4]

Rodriguez was defeated in the Democratic primary, receiving only 45% of the vote.[5]
