Tumulty made the following statement to Ballotpedia regarding his political philosophy:[1]

I have reached a point in my life that I have realized it is time to give back to the community. I am going to live in Cocoa Beach for the rest of my life and it is time for me to serve.

I am running for office for the right reasons. I am not doing it for money, ego or because I can't do anything else. I am doing it because I believe that I can contribute to our society, an educated and well rounded perspective, without a money driven agenda. [2]
