Patrick J. Quinn was a judge on the Illinois First District Appellate Court, Third Division. He was elected to the court in 1996, assumed office on December 2, 1996, and was retained by voters in 2006.[1][2][3] He passed away in his Chicago chambers on January 8, 2014 at the age of 60.[4]

Education

Judge Quinn received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1975 and his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School in 1980.[1]

Career

From 1981 until his election to the Appellate Court in 1996, Judge Quinn served as an assistant state's attorney for Cook County. During this time, he also served as the supervisor of the Sixth Municipal District (1989 - 1991), then the head of the Public Integrity Unit and, later, the head of the Organized Crime Unit.[1]
