Elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Tom Dermody was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[5][6]

Dermody won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 20. Dermody ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated Karen Salzer (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]
2010
Dermody won re-election to the 20th District seat in the November 2 general election. He received 14,019 votes.[9]
Dermody ran for re-election to the 20th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He defeated Todd Reinert in the May 4 primary by 1,421 votes. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Republican Tom Dermody won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 20 with 15,996 votes. He defeated Democrat Jerry Cooley, who received 9,528 votes.[10]

Dermody is a member of the La Porte Young Men's Christian Association Board, Salvation Army Board, and past president of the La Porte Community School Corporation.[12]
