Coral W. Pietsch is a federal judge of the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Pietsch was nominated to a fifteen-year term by President Barack Obama.[1]
Education
Pietsch earned her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Teresa, her master's degree from Marquette University, and her J.D. from the Catholic University of America.[2][3]

Pietsch was nominated by President Barack Obama on October 31, 2011, to a seat on the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims vacated by Judge William Greene, Jr., who assumed senior status. Hearings on Pietsch's nomination were held before the United States Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs on March 28, 2012, and her nomination was reported by U.S. Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wa.) on April 26, 2012. Pietsch was confirmed on a voice vote of the U.S. Senate on May 24, 2012, and she began her fifteen-year term of service in June of 2012. [1][4]
