I was raised with traditional Midwestern family values. I'm the proud daughter of a disabled combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient father and a stay-at-home mother who transitioned to the workforce after raising children. My parents instilled the value of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of critical thinking. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois, Springfield after which I worked in the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for five years supporting multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. I then transitioned to the medical and healthcare field as a researcher in infectious diseases, eventually working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, focusing on rare diseases and oncology. I spent the past decade running global clinical trials, which required leading large global teams to achieve targeted milestones while managing large multi-million-dollar budgets. I'm currently employed as a Manager of Quality Assurance, ensuring that clinical trials are run ethically and comply with all regulatory standards and requirements. I've been a resident of Zionsville, IN where I've raised my two daughters since 2014.
  • I strongly support public education. In Boone and Hendricks Counties we're blessed with wonderful public schools, but lately it seems as if our state legislature is creating more problems for public education than it's solving. As the parent of two children in our public schools, I will be a voice at the Statehouse supporting our schools, teachers and administrators, and our students. I also believe that Indiana needs to provide support for our trades and technical community, including providing training that will help ensure future job security.
  • All Hoosiers deserve access to quality healthcare at reasonable costs. In Indiana this has become a crisis with respect to maternal mortality, mental health, and access to quality healthcare in rural areas. I believe that not only is it imperative to provide quality healthcare, but to reduce the stigma related to mental health and working to provide greater access to services in this area. I also believe that a woman's healthcare decisions should be between her and her healthcare provider.
  • Indiana is one of the most polluted states in our nation. Our waterways were recently ranked as the most polluted in the nation. If we don’t have clean air, water, and land, we don’t have the most basic requirements for healthy and prosperous lives for our citizens. We must be sure that our State is doing everything possible to correct our direction in this area. I will work to pass reasonable and responsible legislation to address our state’s pollution issues.
I feel strongly that we must ensure that all Hoosiers have the basic necessities in order to lead healthy lives in our communities and which provide opportunities for continued prosperity and improvement.

These include clean air, water and land not polluted by toxic chemicals.

We must all have access to quality education and training programs so that our citizens can support themselves and their families well into the future. Public schools are vital to our students' futures.

Our small businesses are the backbone of our communities and I believe we need to work to support them and help them to have continued growth and success.

All Hoosiers all deserve access to quality healthcare and mental health providers at a fair and reasonable costs.
To represent the concerns and voices of the majority of their constituents regardless of personal beliefs.
I would like to show my daughters, family, and friends that you can be a part of the process to impact positive changes in the world- even when the challenges sometimes feel overwhelming.
I'm an avid reader across genres so this is an extremely difficult question. I would currently say The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It contains some very powerful life lessons in a deceptively simple story.
I don't believe that previous experience in government or politics is beneficial. I do believe that a legislature comprised of individuals with a variety of education levels, experiences and backgrounds more fully represents the people of the state and the country. Given that we are a state and nation governed by the people, that variety can be a more accurate reflection of the people that will be impacted by the legislation decided by the local, state, and federal governments.
Yes, I feel strongly that our government should be working collaboratively to the best of our abilities to govern more effectively. Collaboration and compromise help ensure a balance of power and also prevents gridlock and infighting which achieves nothing beneficial for the people of our state or nation.

Each legislator should accurately represent the view of the majority of their constituents; however, they should also work with their fellow legislators to achieve workable compromises to the benefit of the majority of the voters across the state and country.
