Joseph Boteler III
Joseph Boteler III (Republican Party) was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 8. He assumed office on January 9, 2019. He left office on January 11, 2023.
Boteler (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Maryland House of Delegates to represent District 7A. He lost in the Republican primary on July 19, 2022.
From 2003 to 2015, Boteler served as a member the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 8. He lost his re-election bid in the general election on November 4, 2014, when he ran in District 42B. He served as Deputy Minority Whip from 2007 to 2010.

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Robert Leonard and Craig J. Little were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Susan L. Aumann and Chris West defeated incumbent Joseph C. Boteler III and Jesse Filamor in the Republican primary. Aumann and West defeated Leonard and Little in the general election for two seats.[1][2][3]
2010
Boteler came in first in the general election on November 2, 2010, successfully winning re-election.[4]
2006
On November 7, 2006, Joseph Boteler III ran for District 8 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the second of three seats, losing to Eric Bromwell but beating Todd Schuler, Ruth Baisden, Melissa Mullahey, and John Cluster.[5]

Boteler has been a member of the Charles H. Hickey Junior School Advisory Board, Direct Marketing Association of Washington, Overlea Fullerton Business and Professional Association, and Parkville Business and Professional Association. He is House Co-Chair of the Maryland Veterans Caucus, and also belongs to the Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Caucus, and Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus.[7]
