Jack Carter was a judge on the Texas Sixth District Court of Appeals. He was elected to this position on November 5, 2002, and took office on January 1, 2003.[1][2] He did not seek re-election in 2014 and retired at the end of his term on December 31, 2014.[3][4]

Education

Carter received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.[2]

Career

Carter began his legal career in 1967 as an attorney in Texarkana. He became a district judge in 1981 for the 5th Judicial District Court in Bowie and Cass counties. He held this position until his election to the Texas Sixth District Court of Appeals in 2002.[2]
