Francis Ellert was a Republican candidate for District 17 of the Indiana House of Representatives. The primary election was on May 4, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010. Ellert was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 17 of the Indiana House of Representatives. Ellert was defeated by Timothy Harman in the Republican primary on May 8, 2012.[1]

Ellert ran in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 17. Ellert was defeated Timothy Harman in the Republican primary on May 8, 2012.[1] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]

Endorsements

On April 5, 2012, Ellert was endorsed by The Indiana Manufacturers Association.[4] Ellert has also been endorsed by the National Rifle Association[5] and the Indiana Right to Life PAC on May 2, 2012.[6]

Ellert lost to Democratic incumbent Nancy Dembowski by a margin of 8,891 to 8,621 in the November 2 general election. Libertarian candidate Richard Liedtky also ran, receiving 705 votes.[7]

In the May 4 primary election, Ellert defeated Mike Yankauskas by a margin of 2,882 to 2,245 votes.[8]
