Jason Boatright (Republican Party) was a judge for Place 9 of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. He left office on December 31, 2018.
Boatright (Republican Party) ran for re-election for the Place 9 judge of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals. He lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Education
Boatright received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College and his J.D. in 2003 from the University of Texas School of Law. He also received a postgraduate diploma from the University of St. Andrews.[1][2]
Career
Boatright has worked as an attorney for the firms Cobb & Counsel and Duggins Wren Mann & Romero, LLP.[3] He worked as the regulatory and government affairs counsel to Regency Energy Partners LP. He also served in the general counsel section of the Railroad Commission of Texas and as special counsel to the Opinions Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office under Greg Abbott. Before that, he served as briefing attorney to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.[1]
