Voters in the Midland Independent School District, which is located in Midland County in western Texas approved a $11.8 million bond proposal in 1988. The district placed the measure on the ballot to seek funding for the Bush Elementary School campus and 11 other projects. The bond was approved with 64.83 percent of voters in favor the measure. This was the district's 24th bond election.[1]
