Roy Shelbourne
Roy Mahlon Shelbourne (1890-1974) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
Shelbourne was nominated to the Western District of Kentucky by President Harry Truman on January 17, 1946, to a seat vacated by Shackelford Miller; he was confirmed by the Senate on February 5, 1946, and received commission on February 8, 1946. From 1948-1960, he served as the chief judge. He assumed senior status on November 1, 1964. He served the Western District of Kentucky until his death on December 29, 1974.[1] Shelbourne was succeeded in this position by James Gordon.
