Voter registration is the process whereby citizens register with election officials in order to become eligible to vote. Every state except for North Dakota requires voters to register. Voter registration methods vary by state and can include the following: in person at state government agency offices, online, by mail, and through voter registration drives sponsored by non-government entities.[1]
