|- We need representatives who are going to put the needs of the American people first. It begins with a constitutional amendment to limit congressional terms and continues with the election of new representatives who are not professional politicians, know what it's like to struggle in America today, and have the interests of the American people at heart..
- The key to prosperity for all Americans is to dismantle the welfare state and replace government dependency with economic empowerment policies that will provide people with greater opportunities for advancement and wealth generation. We need to deregulate the economy to unleash American innovation and ingenuity, lower the tax burden on the working class to increase their spending and saving power, limit government spending to reduce the debt burden on future generations, and pass a balanced budget constitutional amendment to restrict the government's ability to mortgage our country's future ever again.
- We cannot empower the American people without ensuring that all American children have access to equal educational opportunities and resources. We owe it to those communities that have historically been underserved to increase their educational opportunities by expanding school choice initiatives across the country and working to ensure that zip code, income, ethnicity, and race are not determinants of the quality of education a child receives.
The potentially crippling national debt must be brought under control. The Constitution should be amended to include a spending cap amendment as well as a balanced budget amendment. We must start guaranteeing that government programs are paid for with government revenues or cuts to other programs, avoiding adding to the debt.
The debt cannot be controlled unless the immigration system is reformed to close the border to illegal immigration while keeping it open to those who come here through the proper channels. Our law enforcement, healthcare system, education system, and social services cannot handle the increasing burden of massive illegal immigration.
I would oppose any tax increase on the American people, and would only consider support for any new tax with a provision reducing or eliminating some other tax. We need the people keep more of what they earn... they can better make financial and life decisions for themselves and their families than the government can.
