The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Wayne Moynihan was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Moynihan faced write-in candidate Leif Becker (R) in the general election.[1] Incumbent Moynihan defeated Becker in the general election, and was re-elected for another term.[2]
