Deborah Chase and Hammond Brown were unopposed in the Democratic primary, while David Russell and Peter Varney defeated Joel Lambert, Mike Metcalfe and Gerald Theodora in the Republican primary. Chase, Brown, Russell and Varney all faced off in the general election.[1] The two Republicans, Russell and Varney, were victorious over the two Democrats, Chase and Brown, in the general election.[2]
