Emory Marvin Underwood
Emory Marvin Underwood (1877-1960) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
He was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on February 7, 1931, to replace Samuel Hale Sibley. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 25th, and received commission on March 2nd. On March 5, 1948, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in that capacity until his death on August 28, 1960.
